Q. How much does Casino Shield cost?
A. Casino Shield is free. It is supported by the casino portals that distribute it. In return for providing the software for FREE, casino portals are allowed to advertise via a banner ad within Casino Shield.

Q. Will Casino Shield work with all my casinos?
A. It is our goal to make Casino Shield compatible with 100% of all casinos. We have tested the most popular casinos from the major manufacturers, such as Microgaming, Playtech, iGlobal Media, RealTime Gaming, etc. Also, we are constantly testing Casino Shield with the newest casinos to make sure they are compatible. If you ever have an issue with a casino, you can send us an email about it at games@casinoshield.com. We will research the problem and walk you through the solution or issue an upgrade that fixes the problem.

Q. How often does Casino Shield need to be upgraded?
A. There is no set schedule for Casino Shield upgrades. Casino Shield will automatically notify you when an upgraded version of the software is available.

Q. Can I use Casino Shield to shield itself? What happens if I drag the Casino Shield icon into Casino Shield?
A. No, you cannot shield Casino Shield with itself. This would lock you out of the program and block access to your games. If you drag the Casino Shield icon into Casino Shield, it will tell you that this operation is not allowed. If you don’t want the Casino Shield icon to appear on your desktop, you may uncheck the “Create desktop icon” box during the install procedure, or you can delete the shortcut icon from your desktop afterwards. Casino Shield will still be accessible from your Start Menu.

Q. Can Casino Shield be uninstalled? Will this cause any problems?
A. You can uninstall Casino Shield just like any Windows program by going to the Add/Remove Programs section of your Control Panel. Uninstalling Casino Shield will not cause any problems, and you will not lose access to any of your casinos. See the next question for more on this.

Q. If I uninstall Casino Shield, will I lose my casinos that were shielded inside it?
A. No. When the Casino Shield uninstall program runs, it first makes sure that any casinos shielded inside of Casino Shield are unshielded. All your shielded casinos will reappear on your computer just as if Casino Shield had never been installed.

Q. What happens if I forget my password? Will I be locked out of my casino games?
A. Casino Shield has a built-in mechanism for resetting your password if you forget it. When you set a password, you also choose a Question and Answer that only you know. If you forget your password, click the "Forgot your password?" link, answer your reminder question, and then you will be able to reset your password.

Q. Is Casino Shield available for Mac, Linux, etc.?
A. At this time Casino Shield is only available for the Windows platform (i.e. Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP). We will continue to evaluate the demand for this software on other platforms, and we may create other versions in the future.
